Welcome to our new Website
Welcome to MakerLabs new website, although we've been around for a long time, the website never received the attention it deserved. We are a community of makers, hackers, tinkerers, and creators who share a passion for learning, exploring, and making things.
MakerLabs is more than just a workshop. It is a place where you can meet like-minded people, collaborate on projects, learn new skills, and unleash your creativity. Whether you are interested in woodworking, metalworking, electronics, robotics, 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing, or anything else related to making, you will find the tools, machines, and space you need at MakerLabs.
We hope that with our new website and blog we can reach the wider community that can't make it in person to our meetups with interesting blog posts and community updates. Follow along with our exciting journey.
MakerLabs is also part of a larger network of makerspaces in South Africa, "SA Maker Collective". You can connect with other makers from different cities and countries, exchange ideas and knowledge, and join in various events and challenges. Some of the makerspaces that we are affiliated with are:
We invite you to join us and become a member of MakerLabs. As a member, you will have access to our facilities and equipment. You will also be able to participate in our workshops, courses, hackathons, and social events. Otherwise join us on Wednesday evenings for our weekly open night Meetup.
